Introductions of 'Hawk Eye' and other technologies.

Post  BrynJ_SE7 on Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:15 pm

What do you think of the introduction of "hawk eye", the technology used in Tennis and Cricket to make the question of whether the ball crossed the line or not a non-issue. Following on from this, the introduction of a contesting rule, where players can contest the calls of the officials, in the case of offsides or penalties?
In my opinion the wrong calls, and right calls add a sense of tension to the game. Many moments of legend came from 'poor' reffing decisions, look at Maradona's 'hand of god' goal, and the 1966 goal in the world cup final which gave England the world cup, did the ball cross the line, Hirst certainly thought so. So should the technology be introduced?
